What is CSTEP?
CSTEP is a New York State Education Department (NYSED) grant-funded program geared to increase the number of underrepresented students who are pursuing careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), health-related fields and professional licensure.
Eligibility Standards
- Be a New York State resident
- Full-time student
- Be majoring in STEM, health related, or licensed professions
- Be historically underrepresented (Black/African-American, Hispanic/Latinx, Native American/American Indian and/or economically disadvantaged (per NYS guidelines)
- Have or maintain a 2.50 cumulative GPA (80 or better incoming freshman)
