Individuals are eligible for a booster: (1) five months after receiving the second dose of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine, or (2) two months after receiving the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

How long do I need to wait to get a vaccine or booster after having COVID?
According to the CDC, you may receive a COVID-19 vaccine or booster as soon as you are released from isolation. If your healthcare provider recommends you wait a certain timeframe before receiving a COVID-19 vaccine or booster, you must submit a medical waiver for a temporary exemption.
Am I required to get a COVID-19 vaccine booster?
Per New York State Gov. Hochul’s executive order, all State University of New York (SUNY) in-person students must receive a COVID-19 booster once eligible. Students will be given a two-week grace period to provide proof of having received a COVID-19 vaccine booster. COVID-19 vaccine boosters are not optional. Students who fail to provide proof of a COVID-19 vaccine booster will be withdrawn from the college.
