Check us out, head to toe.
The human body and mind are amazing. If you’re fascinated by the complexity and possibility of each human being, we have the right program for you.
For the physical side, we have programs in nursing, massage therapy, human performance & health promotion (think about sports and fitness), or dietetics and nutrition.
For the mental and developmental side, we offer programs in applied psychology, early childhood education, human services (think about helping specialized populations in need), and teacher education. We also offer health-related studies and a healthcare office coordinator program if you know you want to play an integral role in a health care environment.
Health & Human Development Programs
SUNY Morrisville has faculty and staff who know what it means to be a health care professional. They have studied and passed the exams, worked in the field and now teach the next generation. Maintaining professional credentials and practices ensures that our professors, instructors and assistants are the best coaching team to nurture your potential.
The facilities where you will learn and practice will give you real experience to transfer to the real world. With a variety of anatomical and practice manikins, specialized labs, test kitchens, a child care center, an exercise laboratory and other equipment, you will get to practice until you’re perfect.
The hands-on experience doesn’t stop at the campus’s borders. We have dozens of agreements with clinical sites and other partners who will give you exposure to the health professions world. Working with actual clients and patients will give you the confidence and sense of personal satisfaction to motivate you for a successful career.
We know you care about others and want to help them. We feel the same way. Let’s get started!

At SUNY Morrisville, you will have access to a variety of hands-on laboratories designed to enhance your classroom experience.
It doesn’t get more hands-on than our on-campus Massage Therapy Clinic, which contains all of the equipment and supplies necessary to offer you a full range of experience, including massage tables, chairs, supportive bolsters and body cushions, oriental floor mats and a variety of lotions and creams to aid in tissue manipulations and provide for client comfort and safety. The clinic is available for students, faculty, staff and other members of the campus and local communities.
Our General Biology, Human Biology and Anatomy & Physiology labs are each equipped with microscopes, overhead projectors, a portable projection system with a document camera, and three video microscope systems. The Anatomy & Physiology lab has five computers to run physiology software and apparatus to produce and analyze EKGs, EMGs and pulmonary functions.
An HPHP Exercise Laboratory provides you a full range of the latest fitness and analysis equipment in a live exercise environment. Our testing equipment includes a Quinton electrocardiogram machine and a Metabolic Medgraphic cart which assesses gas exchange, carbon dioxide output and oxygen input, in addition to a variety of fitness equipment.
Clubs
The SUNY Morrisville Baccalaureate Student Nursing Association (BSNA) and Student Nurses Association (SNA) participate in many social and extracurricular activities related to the nursing profession and are a great way to socialize with fellow students and network with professionals. Members also are highly involved in community activities, such as an annual October Breast Cancer Walk, an Alzheimer’s Walk and food drives.
Our Human Performance & Health Promotion (HPHP) Club is dedicated to providing social and professional development for its members, as well as promoting health and fitness on campus and in the community.
The Human Services Organization is a student club that provides you opportunities outside of the classroom to volunteer in the community. These valuable additional learning experiences include food drives, fundraising, and events for children and families.
