News and communications relating to the college's response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dear Students, Welcome back for the Spring 2022 semester! As we continue to prioritize the health and safety of our campus community, please find below important reminders regarding our current protocols and requirements to help fight against COVID-19.
MORRISVILLE, N.Y. — Beginning Thursday, Jan. 13, SUNY Morrisville will become a free COVID-19 testing site, joining other campuses under Gov. Kathy Hochul’s initiative to create more testing sites and help keep New Yorkers safe.  Testing, which is open to the public by appointment or walk-in, is in Hamilton Hall, 31 Chenango St., Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
Dear Faculty and Staff, With the rise in COVID-19 cases locally and nationally, I know there have been questions both about how our college and SUNY System plan to open campuses this spring. Understanding that circumstances may change, I want to give you an up-to-date and clear picture of our Spring 2022 semester plans as they stand.
Updated Jan. 25, 2022: The article below has been updated to reflect the most recent guidelines regarding the timeline for receiving a COVID-19 vaccine booster.   Students, With COVID-19 state guidelines and protocols changing, please read this email carefully which covers booster shots, tests to return to campus, and mask wearing on campus. By being informed, you will be prepared to return to campus in a few weeks- we look forward to welcoming you back!
Dear Campus Community, We hope you had a successful fall semester. Even in the face of many challenges associated with COVID-19, we were able to engage as a community and to experience activities — both inside and outside of the classroom — that were simply not possible last year. We are so grateful and know these successes would not have been possible without the care and attention of each of you to yourselves, each other and our community.
Dear Faculty and Staff, All employees currently required to participate in weekly testing must continue do so this coming week, Dec. 20-21. There will be no testing during the week of Dec. 27, but testing will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 4, for all employees who are required to test.
Dear Campus Community, With the winter months upon us and COVID-19 numbers on the rise, all members of our community are reminded that, regardless of vaccination status, proper face coverings are required to be worn in all indoor spaces for the SUNY Morrisville, Norwich and Syracuse EOC campuses, unless actively eating or drinking. Face coverings remain one of the best protections we have against the spread of illness and it is critically important that all students, faculty and staff adhere to these protocols for everyone’s safety.
Dear Campus Community, As we approach the end of the semester and the holiday break, please be aware of the upcoming schedule for COVID-19 testing:
Dear Campus Community, As we approach the upcoming holiday break, please note that there will be NO COVID-19 TESTING for students or employees the week of November Break, Nov. 22-23. Students and employees who are required to test each week are exempt from testing that week. Individuals who are required to test weekly must still be sure to participate in testing this coming Monday, Nov. 15, or Tuesday, Nov. 16, before leaving for break, and again on Monday, Nov. 29, or Tuesday, Nov. 30, after their return.
Starting the week of October 25, faculty and staff who are not otherwise obligated to participate in weekly pooled testing are invited to do so if they wish. Testing takes place on the first floor of Helyar Hall each Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Testing will be open each week to any employees who wish to utilize it. Participation in a given week does not obligate an employee to participate in subsequent weeks – this is just a service provided to those who wish to participate.
