Build your vehicle to success.

The SUNY Morrisville Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree program in auto body technology will help you meet the industry demand for skilled employees by emphasizing advanced hands-on learning.

You will study teardown and reassembly, frame straightening, metalwork and refinishing, while taking additional requisite courses that cover topics needed to pass Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) examinations in the areas of collision repair and refinishing. The program also includes a 10-week summer internship in collision repair.

You will also have the option to transfer into SUNY Morrisville’s Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree program in automotive technology or our Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree program in automotive management.

In the ever-changing automotive world, SUNY Morrisville offers leading-edge technology in all aspects of advanced diagnostics, repair and even customer service and inventory control. You’ll learn and work in our state-of-the-art facilities set up just like automotive dealerships and body shops to provide true-to-life experiences through numerous repair stations, a parts department, live service desk and a vehicle showroom.

You’ll learn from our outstanding faculty, who have worked in the industry and maintain contacts with automotive companies and support industries for all makes and models. Partnerships with industry leaders such as Fiat Chrysler, Ford and Subaru support the learning environment with new technology, vehicles and factory certifications.

You also have the opportunity to join SUNY Morrisville’s Automotive Club to extend your knowledge of the automotive industry through video tutorials, professional engineers and field trips. Open to the entire student body, the Automotive Club supports a fall and spring car show on campus each year and participates in the annual Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) automotive trade show.
