The creation and management of computer information systems is at the heart of any thriving business.
In the SUNY Morrisville Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree program in computer information systems, you develop the skills needed to employ information systems that helps organizations thrive and grow.
Courses focus on interactive program development in a networked, client/server programming environment. You will study languages such as Python and C# and also learn how to use the latest software packages for spreadsheets, graphics, database, communications and multimedia development.
Additional courses in accounting, business, liberal arts, mathematics and physical science round out the diverse program, preparing you for employment as an entry-level computer programmer, programmer analyst or network technician, an office systems manager or system analyst trainee, or a computer operator or computer salesperson.
You can enhance your college experience through a variety of related clubs and activities. SUNY Morrisville Esports (MES) creates a community for interested gamers through education, sportsmanship, competitive multiplayer gaming and attendance at gaming-related events.
The college is one of the first to annually host Global Game Jam® (GGJ), the world’s largest on-site game creation event which gives teams of artists, hobbyists, programmers and gamers throughout the world a chance to brainstorm, innovate, collaborate and develop new ideas for game design over the course of 48 hours.
