Cultivate your future.

If you love growing and working with plants, whether in a greenhouse, a flower shop or on a farm, hands-on training in horticulture may just be what’s next for you.

With options in landscape management, horticulture production and general transfer, our Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree program in horticulture is one of SUNY Morrisville’s time-honored programs. You will learn in outstanding facilities with faculty who have been recognized by both the college and the SUNY system for their outstanding work as educators.

Required courses are delivered with a hands-on approach that emphasizes technologies and innovation. You’ll learn by doing through our Four Seasons Farm, a certified organic farm operated and maintained by the college's horticulture department that provides hands-on educational experience through year-round crop production. You'll also visit some of the most important industry sites and events, including the nation's largest horticultural event, the annual Philadelphia Flower Show.

When it comes time to learn from industry and go after your first job, you’ll benefit from Morrisville’s affiliations with the Society of American Florists, the National Association of Landscape Professionals, and the New York State Landscape and Nursery Association.

After completing the program, branch out your studies through SUNY Morrisville’s Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in horticulture business management.
