Give yourself a mechanical advantage.

As a student in the SUNY Morrisville Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree program in mechanical engineering technology, you will learn to take care of the fine details related to the design, testing and manufacture of a new product.

The laboratory-oriented curriculum emphasizes technical graphics communication, manufacturing processes and mechanical design. You’ll work hands-on with industry-standard, state-of-the-art equipment as you take courses in computer-aided drafting (CAD) and manufacturing, 3D modeling, machining and engineering.

The program prepares you for careers as an engineering aide, laboratory technician and plant engineering technician in areas such as design and drafting, mechanical design, metal working and foundry industries.

You will also be prepared for successful transfer to a bachelor’s degree program in mechanical engineering technology, manufacturing engineering technology or computer-integrated manufacturing technology.
