Our talented professors and state-of-the-art educational facilities will expose you to modern horticulture techniques and equipment. The college’s Four Seasons Farm, a certified organic farm operated and maintained by the college's Horticulture Department, provides a hands-on educational experience through year-round crop production. Faculty-led research, including the research findings from the college’s Cannabis Research Plot, will expose you to cutting-edge techniques designed to enhance crop production and maximize plant quality.
Student Learning Outcomes
As a graduate, you will be workforce-ready and able to:
- Explore and examine the necessary career orientation toward the fruit, vegetable, tree nut, dried fruit, horticulture, nursery, floriculture, and cannabis industries;
- Apply problem-solving skills in greenhouse, nursery and field operations, as well as fruit, vegetable, tree nut, dried fruit, horticulture, nursery, floriculture, and cannabis production and processing; and
- Employ plant science concepts and technologies to maximize efficiencies of product development in the fruit, vegetable, tree nut, dried fruit, horticulture, nursery, floriculture, and cannabis industries.
